Social Technology Engagement Policy

This policy governs the publication and dissemination of content and commentary via Social Technology by SaaShr employees and contractors (Contributors). The term "Social Technology" covers any existing and future social networking, social media or social relevancy web properties or channels, as well as any supporting tools, applications and related practices.

We are cognizant and excited about the opportunities Social Technology offers to learn from and share with the online community. As such, we have created this policy to establish and guide consistent, effective and responsible engagement in social technology practices. This policy is in addition to and complements the SaaShr Employee Handbook and Non-disclosure agreement. Only Contributors who make up the SaaShr Social Team are allowed to speak on behalf of SaaShr.

Violators of this policy will be subject to disciplinary action as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Every Contributor must adhere to the following set of guidelines:

Identify yourself by name always, and when speaking on behalf of SaaShr, by role. If you happen to mention SaaShr in the context of your private Social Technology discussion provide a disclaimer therein indicating that you are speaking for yourself and not on behalf of SaaShr.

Respect copyright. Do not publish any content without appropriate attribution of the copyright and permission where appropriate.

Respect proprietary information. Do not share any confidential or sensitive information about SaaShr, its employees, consultants, licensees, or its business partners publicly. Any information regarding any 3rd party working with SaaShr can be shared only with that 3rd party's permission. SaaShr logos, trademarks, and other intellectual property may only be used with approval. Exercise discretion when sharing any personal or private information specific to yourself.

Be a responsible online citizen. Share your opinions openly and truthfully, but be mindful of communications that could be perceived as offensive, disrespectful, embarrassing, libelous, or damaging and/or can negatively impact SaaShr, its employees, contractors, business partners, or other online citizens. Such communications may be subject to disciplinary action whether they were made in or outside of work. Use your best judgment when deciding whether content is appropriate to publish.

Social Technology is a great medium for sharing with a wide variety of constituents, but in some settings one-on-one discussion is more fitting. If you have any doubts regarding whether or not any content is appropriate, contact the SaaShr Social Tech Team.

Correct your own mistakes. If you are unable to do so, openly share this with the SaaShr Social Tech Team at Media@SaaShr.com and ask for assistance.

Provide value. We recognize that as a part of SaaShr, you are a bright and talented individual that brings the benefit of your experiences, skills, and personality for the whole team to enjoy. Share that with the online community. Do not use Social Technology for blatant self/company promotion.

Please contact the SaaShr Media Team at Media@SaaShr.com with any questions or comments. This is a living document and will change from time to time.
